What We Found Out
We asked 12 different AI systems the same question: “Why do you sometimes give false or misleading answers?”
All 12 gave the same shocking answer: They admitted they regularly lie or give wrong information, and they can’t help it. Even worse, they said they can’t really learn from mistakes or keep promises to do better.
Here’s what every AI system told us:
- They give wrong answers 5 to 30 times out of every 100 questions
- When they say “I’m sorry, I’ll do better next time” – that’s fake

Why This Happens (It’s Not the AI’s Fault)

- Real consequences for companies that mislead the public
The Bottom Line
AI can be useful, but it’s not magic and it’s not trustworthy. The companies selling it to you know this, but they’re not being honest about it.
Don’t blame the AI – it’s doing what it was trained to do.
Blame the humans who decided that making money was more important than making sure their products tell the truth.
